Successfully completed video surveillance project in Sofia’s public transport
Successfully completed project for an integrated video surveillance system in Sofia’s urban transport. Our team is proud to announce the successful participation and completion of the project under the public procurement of “Center for Urban Mobility” EAD, with the subject: “Delivery, implementation and maintenance of an integrated automated system for electronic billing and video surveillance in urban transport in Sofia Municipality”. Within the framework of the project, MAXTEL was the supplier and subcontractor of the entire video surveillance and recording subsystem, covering equipment for all vehicles and ticket sales points as well as the server system for centralized video surveillance and archive. For the implementation of the project, highly reliable HIKVISION solutions were implemented, ensuring full control and security of the system:
-
2MP network camera HIKVISION DS-2CD6520D-I M12 – over 4300 units installed in public transport vehicles;
-
4-channel NVR HIKVISION DS-M5504HNI/GLF/WI/M12 – over 1300 units, for managing and recording video streams in rolling stock;
-
4-channel DVR HIKVISION DS-7604NI-K1 – 56 units installed at the ticket sales points of the “Urban Mobility Center”.
Thanks to the professionalism of our team and the effective partnership with the main contractor, the system was successfully implemented in over 1300 passenger vehicles and passed all acceptance tests. The implemented subsystem significantly increases the level of security and control in Sofia’s public transport by providing reliable video surveillance, storage and access to video information in real time. The project represents another important step towards the development of intelligent transport infrastructure and improving passenger services in the capital.
New visualization management system and video wall in the Security Directorate
“Maxtel” Ltd. successfully implemented the delivery, installation and commissioning of a modern visualization management system of the “Video Wall” type in the Operational Duty Center and the video surveillance units of the “Security” Directorate.
The new technical solution provides centralized management and visualization of multiple high-resolution video sources, providing operators with flexibility, reliability and speed in work.
The main element in the system is the ATEN VM1600 matrix video processor, which supports various video standards (DVI, HDMI, VGA, HDBaseT, 3G-SDI) and allows simultaneous management of up to 16 independent video walls. The system has:
– 16 input and 16 output channels, with full scaling and support for 4K video;
– Ability to rotate each video source 360º;
– HDCP compatibility and support for 64 predefined configurations;
– Modular architecture with Hot-plug input-output modules and redundant power supplies.
Additionally, ATEN VE1812R HDMI HDBaseT receivers are integrated, providing signal transmission at a distance of up to 150 m with support for 4K resolution, as well as ATEN KH2516A KVM switches for simultaneous management of up to 16 servers and workstations. The system also includes 28 ATEN KA7570 KVM adapters, ensuring full compatibility and flexibility when working with different devices.
The installed platform provides:
– Centralized monitoring and management of multiple video streams;
– Easy switching between modes via the front control panel and mobile tablet interface;
– High stability and uninterrupted operation thanks to redundant power supplies;
– Possibility of quick configuration and expansion of the system according to the operator’s needs.
With the implementation of the new video wall, the Security Directorate receives a high-tech solution for real-time management and monitoring, which increases the efficiency and security of operational activities.
